Our October Highlights are centred around the inimitable feeling surrounding art.
After months away, in the depths of the not-so-Internet-friendly rural areas, a quick stint in London for IJL, and one final hurrah (again, no web access), we are now back in Europe and have had a phenomenal time soaking up the Autumn ambiance, and enjoying October…
Having had soaring temperatures in London – and the hottest September on record, for the first time in a century – the year is slowly drawing to a close, the mornings are much cooler, and we are wonderfully absorbed in the sense of new beginnings and “back to school” mode, that we always experience at this time, in this part of the world.
Frieze Week was very speedily upon us once more, and we gobbled up the sights and sounds associated with this incredible art fair. From talks and events, to the weird and wonderful visual art installations – a veritable feast for the eyes.
Additionally something a lot closer to our hearts and heaps closer to home, The Dangote Foundation trustees jet setting Florence ‘DJ Cuppy’ and her fabulously fashion forward sister Temi Otedola of JTO Fashion, came together for a superb cause, in collaboration with Bonham’s. The fusion of African art, music, and fashion was in preparation for the Africa Now auction which took place on Thursday 6th October 2016.
